September became October
I can’t believe it’s already October. Harvest is in full swing here in Michigan, and The Hibernating Combine has been selling like hotcakes.
October 1st marked one month since publication, and September was full of lessons, and new experiences. In that first month, I sold 171 copies of The Hibernating Combine and shipped more than 300 books, including over 200 preorders. I also attended three vendor events and had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful readers.
Looking ahead, October is shaping up to be even busier. I have four book events scheduled and a Parliamentary Procedure program on the calendar. I’m also in the process of ordering a second print run of books, which is both exciting and a little surreal.
Here’s where you can find me this month:
October 4 – 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Grand Ledge Public Library for their Fall Festival
October 10 – 3:00–7:00 PM at the Middleville Farmers Market in the community pavilion
October 18 – 1:00–2:00 PM at The Wild Wood Bookstore for a special author event
October 22 – 6:00–7:45 PM at The Hastings Public Library for a Parliamentary Procedure program
October 28 – 3:30–6:00 PM at The Hastings Public Library for another special author event
Thank you to everyone who has supported The Hibernating Combine during its first month in the world. I’m so grateful for the excitement, messages, photos, and conversations that have come from this book already. I can’t wait to see what October brings.
